Grandma’s House

Let us tell you about grandma’s house…

Grandma’s House was designed for birth families whose children are in the Children & Youth Services system with a goal of reunification.

With several locations throughout PA, Grandma’s House aims to:

  • Help clients reunite their families

  • Reduce the length of time children and youth are in Foster Care

  • Reduce recidivism and increase permanency

  • Strengthening families of displaced children

  • Frequent, extended, family-focused & professionally supported visitation

  • Coaching education component to support family reunification

Empowering Parents, Strengthening Families

Each house is a space for parents and children to learn and practice new positively reinforced skills and behaviors.

It’s a place to have the opportunity to cook for their children, participate in bedtime and bath time rituals, and maintain and increase their role in their child’s life.

How Does it Work?

Intensive. Individual. Hands-On.

  • Families must be willing and able to participate.

  • Birth families must be compliant with their FSP Goals and able to maintain this compliance while participating in this program.

  • Our Grandma’s House team develops specific plans based on the needs of the clients that we serve, to help them achieve reunification and independence.

  • Our team focuses in on strength-based training and teaching to assist clients.
